What is Oneness?

Many people think of oneness as simply unity or togetherness. But these are only aspects of oneness—not its definition.

Oneness is an ancient spiritual principle, deeply rooted in Eastern wisdom and best understood through a holistic lens. Unlike the Western analytical mindset, which separates and categorizes, the holistic mindset sees how opposites belong together and contribute to a greater whole.
Oneness is Foundational for Peace
According to Eastern tradition, oneness is the integration of complementary opposites—light and dark, activity and stillness, heaven and earth. Oneness is not a means to an end; it is the end. It is a state of balance, wholeness, and spiritual fullness.

Oneness is divine harmony. It is the condition in which nothing is rejected, fragmented, or left out. Within ourselves, it is the reconciliation of belief and feeling, conscious and subconscious, strength and softness. Within society, it is the healing of division and the proper integration of governing powers for sustainable freedom, peace, and prosperity.

Oneness is the ultimate expression of humanity’s fully awakened spiritual nature. It is the fertile ground from which health, happiness, harmony, and peace grow.

Ancient Wisdom Meets Eternal Truth
From the East, we learn that everything in the universe is made of complementary forces: yin and yang, light and dark, activity and stillness, masculine and feminine, heaven and earth. These forces do not compete—they complete.

From scripture, we learn that God created all things to be in balance, that opposition is essential to growth, and that through Christ, "he hath made both one" (Ephesians 2:14). Comprehending this truth helps open our eyes to see both good and evil with greater clarity.
